Röhrich Sebastian did his PhD in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Disease at the Medical University of Vienna, which focused on content based image retrieval (CBIR) to improve the radiological workflow and diagnostic performance in diagnosing lung disease. Another focus are deep learning-based applications in chest CT scans, for instance, for the prediction of post-traumatic ARDS as well as automatic pneumothorax detection and quantification. He is currently working as an attending radiologist at the Department of Biomedical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy at the Medical University of Vienna.
