CIR | Early Life Imaging

Early life imaging at CIR focuses on analysing data spanning from the fetal period until 18 years and on developing novel methodologies tailored to age related requirements, specifically addressing developmental changes and interactions with pathologic progression patterns.

Fetal Image Analysis (18 - 40 gestational weeks)

  • Neuroscience: Functional and structural connectivity analysis, Morphological assessment of fetal brain development
  • Computational Modelling: Spatio Temporal Fetal Brain Atlas Learning, High-resolution reconstruction and Motion Correction

Infant and Neonatal Image Analysis (0-2 years)

  • Neuroscience: Neonatal ExVivo Brain and Cerebellum Analysis

Children and Adolescents Image Analysis (3 - 18 years)

  • Neuroscience: Assessment of Reorganisation Patterns in Paediatric Stroke, Language Functional Brain Network Analysis
  • Cancer Research: Automatic MRD assessment in leukaemia, classification of genetic alterations for neuroblastoma diagnosis
