Patient Information

The following pages will provide you information about your upcoming examination or procedure. Therefore, we have provided a broad spectrum of material covering the radiological and nuclear medicine tests that we offer.

The well-being and security of our patients is our utmost concern. All examinations will be performed with modern equipment by trained /knowledgeable staff in the field. It is especially important to us that you understand the reason for the exam and, after a brief description, can give your consent.

Exams and Interventional Procedures

Before the test or procedure, most patients have many questions—the effects, what exactly will happen during the exam (the sequence of events), and the necessary preparation for the exam. These pages are meant to inform you about you exam and what it will mean for you.

Information Sheet

For most procedures, we have a brief form in German, English, French, Croatian, Serbian and Turkish, that explains what you should expect during and after the exam, and the benefits and risks of the exam.

Image or Report Request

As a patient, you are entitled to request a copy of the images or the report of your examination.
Should your doctor need a copy of your images or report, they are available free of charge. Please refer to the information sheet containing the guidelines of the General Hospital of Vienna.
