Division of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology

The clinical division of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology is a part of the Department of Biomedical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy. Founded more than twenty-five years ago, it has continued to develop and enlarge.
Our division is particularly specialized in two areas of modern radiology, namely in cardiovascular radiology (i.e., radiology of the heart and blood vessels), and interventional radiology.  We perform numerous diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures, as well as, minimally invasive (i.e., without a surgical incision) procedures, with the help of medical imaging. Using image-guidance, we can very precisely and with minimal invasiveness treat acute and chronic arterial and venous diseases, as well as oncologic diseases.

The goal of our clinical and research activity is to deliver precise, personalized, minimally-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic care, to patients suffering from oncologic, cardiac, and vascular diseases.
