The scientific projects of our working group for gastrointestinal imaging include dynamic investigation of the GI tract, using multimodality and multiparametric studies to diagnose small and large bowel diseases.
Our focus is essentially the distinction between morphologic and functional oropharyngeal conditions, and the development and trial of new techniques to characterize chronic large-bowel infectious diseases and to document their progression, visually, using virtual colonoscopy. As such, we are involved with the development of interdisciplinary guidelines.
