Alexander Johannes Herold, a resident physician at the Department of Biomedical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy at the Medical University of Vienna, is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Doctoral Programme of Applied Medical Science, focusing on the role of artificial intelligence in magnetic resonance imaging of chronic liver disease. Presently, Dr. Herold is undertaking a research fellowship at the A.A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where he is working on validating and translating fast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sequences and evaluating workflow innovations to improve the efficiency of clinical MRI.
