Czech-Austrian Workshop on Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy 2025

This encounter offers a great opportunity to meet a mix of young and senior scientists at all graduation levels, which is often not possible at highly specialized international conferences. It is a meeting point of Czech and Austrian academic sites involved in the methodological and application research of in vivo MRI and MRS.

Participating Institutions: Medical University of Vienna, Medical University Graz, Technical University of Graz, Karl-Franzens University Graz, Medical University of Innsbruck, Carinthia University of Applied Sciences Klagenfurt, Institute for Scientific Instruments in Brno, CEITEC Brno, Charles University in Prague and IKEM Prague.

During the 3 days’ workshop planned for 20.-22. October 2025, in Frein an der Mürz, Austria, the focus will be laid on presentations given by graduate and postgraduate students on the topic of their thesis. They will present the current state of their project and results from their experiments.  Overview and educational lectures will be given by senior researchers of all institutes. Furthermore, PhD Students involved in the “Platform for brain research using UHF MRI, histology, and AI” supported by the doc.funds.connect program DFH-50 of Austrian Science Foundation awarded to- and supervised by Prof. Grabner, Klagenfurt and Prof. Bogner, Vienna, will also take part in the meeting and present their platform and PhD proposals and pilot results. In addition, the best presentations by junior fellows and students will be endowed by a “Presentation Award”.
